SPEAKERS

Laura Skylaki

Laura Skylaki is a Manager, Applied Research & Data Science in the Thomson Reuters Labs in Zug, Switzerland, where she leads advanced machine learning and natural language processing projects in the fields of Legal and Tax AI. She has more than 10 years of experience in developing machine learning and deep learning applications in diverse disciplines in academia and industry. She holds an MSc in Informatics and a PhD in Stem Cell Bioinformatics from the University of Edinburgh. Before joining Thomson Reuters, she was a postdoctoral fellow in ETH Zurich with expertise in bioimage analysis. She is passionate about innovation, human-centric design, ethical AI, and AI-driven transformation.

David von Rickenbach

David von Rickenbach is a Director, Applied Research & Data Science at Thomson Reuters Labs in Zug, Switzerland, where he leads a team of machine learning & NLP scientists based out of Europe and India. In the past 9 years he held a variety of roles at Thomson Reuters and helped bring a range of AI driven Legal and Tax software products to market. David holds a MSc degree in Physics from ETH Zurich. He is currently focused on future AI opportunities for Thomson Reuters in the Tax & Audit space.
